Spring in Annapolis is a special season for a variety of reasons: the annual celebration of May Day, the U.S. Naval Academy graduation, and the beginning of the boating season. The Annapolis boat show season kicks off with the Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show April 29 - May 1. Sheila Jones, general manager of the Annapolis Boat Shows said of the 2022 spring festivities, "We've filled the docks and tents with exhibitors ready to show you the latest in electronics and other boating equipment and to talk to you about everything from financing, insurance, and improving your sailing. You won't find this many sailors in one place again until our fall shows."
After their spring run, two additional shows will take place at City Dock in October: The United States Powerboat and Sailboat shows.
If you enjoy horsepower on the water over wind in your sails, you cannot miss the United States Powerboat Show which runs October 6-9. The show will celebrate its 50th Anniversary this fall and is sure to be an exciting event that includes test drives at the demo dock, tours of world-class vessels, and even hands-on boat training with Boat US Foundation as well as live music, food, and drink.
The United States Sailboat Show will follow immediately after, from October 13-17, for another display of the newest and most impressive sailboats in the world.
